Duos Technologies adds 25 new perspectives to its Railcar Inspection Portal as part of the obliquevue reveal

Duos Technologies Group Inc (NASDAQ:DUOT) reported that 25 new perspectives have been added to the existing nine on the company’s Railcar Inspection Portal solution, with 10 of the new perspectives having been incorporated into Duos’ new obliquevue offering. Duos Technologies noted the new system perspectives incorporate the latest in imaging technologies, capturing images at four times the resolution of the current system.  “As the first deployment in our ‘Rapid Development’ initiative, the obliquevue represents a major technical and symbolic achievement for the future of our company,” CEO Chuck Ferry said in a statement. READ: Duos Technologies full steam ahead under new management with its intelligent technologies “Our combined technology teams have openly embraced this new approach and worked collectively to achieve the stretch goals set by senior management,” Ferry added. “Going forward, we are already seeing this new approach to development, combined with our focus on operational efficiency, starting to pay dividends in terms of faster deployment and improved customer satisfaction.” The company said the new products are currently in production at a major Class 1 Railroad and are part of a significant planned expansion of the customer’s Railcar Inspection Portal program already in operational production at seven locations across North America in both the US and Canada. The obliquevue, which is currently in production use, provides 10 new visual perspectives at oblique angles underneath a railcar. While designed to work as a part of the Railcar Inspection Portal, the product can be deployed independently for certain applications as well.   Duos added that the obliquevue is the first of a new generation of AI-based inspection systems being developed by the company as a part of a new ‘rapid development’ initiative started in late 2020, which was designed to respond to customer requirements for systems that will work within existing operations and without requiring major changes to operational practices. It also said obliquevue is the first in a series of new innovations anticipated from the company over the next 18 months. Duos offers an array of intelligent technologies and services to support a diverse range of companies’ operations and security.  Based in Jacksonville, Florida, Duos specializes in automated systems with a focus on the protection of critical infrastructure, notably the automation of complex mechanical inspections of rail assets.
